Noble Bison Productions is proudly one of the top music video production companies in Denver. From creative direction to thoughtful storytelling, our production team has more than a decade of experience producing music videos for local bands and musicians.
Our owners Jeff Riley and Tim Hull are long-time musicians themselves, so they each have their own personal connection to music and are stoked when they have the chance to work with local bands and artists here in Colorado. Plus, Colorado itself is such a treasure on its own. It’s a wonderful place to make art with one another.

Before we jump in, let’s take a quick peek back in time. Our owner Jeff began shooting and editing music videos for local bands in Ohio more than 10 years ago. Check out these still frames from some of the gems he created in those early days. Circa 2010, which I couldn’t love more #emoisnotdead.
Now, let’s hop into some of Noble Bison Productions’ recent work. Below is a list of music videos we’ve created with local Denver musicians Silo, Shady Oaks, We Are William, and Liontortoise. These guys are some truly dedicated and talented musicians in the Denver music scene. We feel pretty lucky to have collaborated with them and create these special works.
These music video projects range from full-blown productions to a one-man camera crew. Each style has its own way of shining, as we always prioritize quality with every one of our productions. It’s really all about the story you want to tell and the way you choose to tell it.
We Are William - "Oceanic”
Jeff and the lead singer of We Are William worked closely together to create a visual concept around their song “Oceanic.” The focus was to show the different sides of addiction. We had the small lightbox specially created for the music video, which we think really pulled the visual narrative together. We shot it at this amazing massive old warehouse. A lot of very talented people were hard at work on this set. We’re so grateful for the crew and talent that had a hand in this project. It’s definitely one of our favorites thus far.

2. Shady Oaks: “Home”
The music video “Home” was the product of a very busy day with one guy and a camera. Our team did quite a bit of pre-production with the Shady Oaks members, but we also left much to fate and produced this music video with a more “punk rock” approach. We didn’t have a crew or permits. We just showed up and hoped no one would mind us being there. It was one of the most fun and authentic jobs we’ve worked on in a while.
Not only did we get lucky with the few places we stopped by, but the weather was a happy accident as well. Leaving from Boulder the weather was nice and warm, however, as we got closer to Estes Park, the weather became much colder. And then, SNOW! We love how the snowy imagery added to the charm of the song.

3. Liontortoise - “Montgomery”
Remember how I said our owner Jeff Riley is a musician? Liontortoise is his band. As an owner of a video production company, he’s been able to get pretty crafty with the music videos he shoots for his band. For his song “Montgomery,” he and his band filmed in an old racket ball court. It has these big windows overhead that cast those stunning shadows you see.

4. Silo “Warpaint”
Since becoming filmmakers, we’ve always wanted to direct a Western. We were provided with an opportunity to our dip our toes into that genre with the music video “Warpaint” by Silo. This was our chance to go all-in with props, costumes, and special effects — we even tied one of the band members upside down with that classic western rope (with his full consent, of course)!
Finding the perfect location to tell the narrative was quite a challenge, even the local locations managers in town had a difficult time turning up leads on an abandoned barn. We were left with the tried and true "go find it yourself.” After about 3 or 4 days of driving around and searching for the right location, we found this tiny barn tucked away out in Boulder, Colorado. The best part was the friendly folks living in the neighborhood who gave us permission to film on their land. Everyone was so supportive and welcoming to our crew. Just one of the many reasons we love filming in Colorado!

5. Silo “Glitter & Gold”
The music video we produced for Silo’s “Glitter and Gold” was a full-blown production that we shot at the local Denver studio LSI. The band came to us with the concept, which was based on one of the members who was once married to a professional dancer. The band was determined to portray the dark side of what’s like when one chooses their career over marriage. We designed props and costumes, played with glitter and party lights. This production was wild!

6. Death in My Metal, Not In My Streets
Along with music videos, Noble Bison Productions also films live shows, virtual performance events/streams, and playthroughs. In August 2020, we filmed the teaser for “Death in My Metal, Not in My Streets.” It was a virtual event featuring interviews with local activists and musicians as a call to action to stand against systemic racism. All the proceeds from the event were donated to BLM 5280.

7. Liontortoise - “v3”
I had to include the “v3” music video in this list of our Denver music video production. The main reason being that it features Colorado’s massive Breckenridge Troll — and Jeff seriously jammin’ out. He spent a weekend out in Breckenridge to film “v3”. Personally, I think it turned out pretty magical. I just love the woodsy feel, easy-listening, and those cozy fairy lights. It’s all very Colorado.
